as there may be no one here

but these fields they have ears

faffin’ about



We're faffin' about

but just the usual gubbins

no trouble or owt.



No blood has been drawn here

no broken bones

nowt.



Nothing is destroyed

yet nothing gets done

we're faffin' about

& it's harmless fun

...

Beyond the soup, bread rolls & sandwiches

& the scrolls in forbidden languages.





In way of pigeon holes & boxes

almost chicken paradoxes.





& far from unpleasant pheasants

plus the scare of perplexed

- in deepest hay barn hinterland

tell me what comes next
