the age of dust

the age of dust

inevitably beckons

every fleeting

precious second

brings us closer

swings their way

dust thrives on time

born of decay


it spreads from old books

unloved lofts

neglected hay barns

ghostly wafts

of sunday stuff

our musty past

once thought long gone

now back at last
