she sieves the wood & sniffs the moss

that snores the floor & drinks the troughs

or sips the dew that frills the fosse

in depths of feb & spews the toss


she crows the stones & walls the wails

that whale the bones & sprawl the dales

or span the land that folks the tails

in ghosts of towns & browns the ale


she voles the vales & scales the hills

that mole the moors & ring the chills

or knells the bells that spell the still

in wisps of sing & spills the quills


she fasts the vast & stings the bee

that wars the wasp & spins the scree

or storms the cup that teas the sea

in dreams of dust & rusts the key


she greens the swards & leafs the hedge

that rows the grow & fogs the sedge

or bogs the sod that sucks the legs

in quacks of ducks & fucks the head


she spits the shit & spurs the penned

that flaps the shat & stirs the blend

or blends the stirs that turns the bend

in drips of ink & then the end

crack the nut & bolt the quarrel

bow the flow & roll the cobbles

spurt the dirt & soap the saddle

plot the land & plod the novel


hedge the bet & sea the coral

brick the spit & green the bottle

drink the wine & pine the apple

tree the scree & leave the laurel


flap the crow & stone the fossil

flip the blur & whirr the wobble

swish the fish & wag the waggle

herb the words & sniff the sorrel


pen the hen & squab the squabble

pan the cake & then the waffle

milk the maid & pip the apple

tick the list & piss the twaddle

songs spin in kettles & whales sing in bones

dales vales in islands & dials ring in tones

sun whirrs in sugar & gales wail in tea

sting clings in nettles & still stirs in stones


ducks quack in rivers & fowl flap in fairs

owls wolf in woodland & howls rouse in hares

scuzz speaks in speckles & buzz snores in bees

fuzz flecks in fettles & lists tick in where's


toes tip in futures & snow drips in drops

flows slip in stupors & flips spit in flops

plod squawks in porpoise & pods scheme in peas

jog sticks in jangles & jan jams the plot


runes spoon in riddles & rhymes worm in roots

mud mucks in middles & slime squirms in boots

beak speaks in squinter & deep sleeps in tree

ships sieve in wander & yonder - the shoots

panda's the samba & badger's the ballets

warble's the portal & caudal's the thor's daze


gibbon's the britain & ribbon's the may days

quiver's the bittern & shiver's the grey days

kitten's the spittle & midden's the ashtrays

raven's the maiden & waver's the mainstays


ramble's the plodder & fodder's the field days

dangle's the apple & jangle's the keyways

speckle's the kettle & settle's the astray

weevil's the easel & weasel's the leeways


twinkle's the puddle & sunken's the highways

wrinkle's the fuddle & drunken's the childsplay

wanker's the anchor & stagger's the cat's stray

cheapskate in a dream state paper

plain & black as snow

kisses shite & shattered pen ink

white as frozen crow

clean slates slip as swans sing chansons

spits of feathered songs

so the ruffled stream flows backwards

upwards then we row


slime to meet thy honey maker

itch & twiddle toes

ninja slice & dice an onion

nimbly kneed that dough

bang a speckled y'olden gold gong

thesp & act that one

stir the ghosts for spectral breakast

when the garden grows


garbled scraps & bastard capers

scarpered as me flow

stick to myths & squinter's whispers

knot what folk may know

apples bob & rivers glisten

avalon & on

scribbles in the jiggles wriggle

squits of so & so


fruits of frorests, floss & labour

fizzled quill winds blow

flicker flecks & settle embers

watch them as they glow

ring-a-ring of wrongs etc.

where they should belong

as the rabble rain rants buckets
