squawking on in steps & stumbles

leaden legged & specks of scumbles


neath the beeches & the oaken

speak the splatter of unspoken


sunken hymns & bits of bobbins

sylpihd finches, bobbing robins


drain the brain of pitter pattern

spinning with the rings of saturn


mumble drums & bumble riddles

bee the beat until it drizzles


crusted crumbs & scraps of language

build a castle from a sandwich


telephones & springing onions

metronome the dung of dungeons


in the scribble of the scrawling

swans upon a misted morning

the ink within a swimming head

a pencil case, a lick of lead

the spy of i as spiders spin

a web within a potting shed


a pinching punch, a scrunch of scrap

a burst of birds , a flock of flap

the spots 'n' dots of let's begin

a basin brain, a dancing tap


a spoke ode, a bumblebee

the lottery of prosody

a broken strophe, a stroke of chin

a storm within a cup of tea


the mumbles of a riddle's rhyme

a knelling bell, a distant chime

a phantom scrawl, a drawing pin

a trail of snail - the stuff of slime


a sort of door, a river too

a gleaming stream, a whiff of glue

a smorgasbord, a dorsal fin

a burning bush, a turning shrew


the chattering of hinterlands

a song upon the sinking sands

the spouting out of inner-spin

the parps & larks of marching bands


the daze of rain, a paper plane

the once upon of swans again

a squirm of worms within a tin

the hazy daze of gravy train


the ink within a swimming head

a pencil case, a lick of lead

the spy of i as spiders spin

a frog of fudge, a smudge, a smear


the speak of sleep & catch awake

the branches dance as antlers shake


a cloak of oak, a hood of wood

upon this swan, a song of fade
