Limerick

on a friday morn with mist

~

on a friday morn with mist by phuh cough

…

on a friday morn with mist

we tried to write a limerick

we thought we should

it might be good

alas the usual shit 'n' piss

came out when my trusty pen

& i didst scribe some stuff & then

the doorbell rang

a dodo sang

so we gave up

bollocks

( the end )

...

p.s

sorry

the first frost since the last frost

the first frost since the last frost by a dodgy limerick ( i.e 5 line read )

…

the first frost since the last frost

since then less cold as glasnost

but now things dip

it's winter's bit

so dare not take thee hats off

the elephant is evidently elegant

so everything else - well - becomes irrelevant

the swan possesses form & grace

the monkey keeps a cheeky face

& what’s the bad news?

Well I’m afraid to say that your face has gone oblong

it’s a strange & misshapen swan song,

plus an established medical fact

that once it’s started – well that’s that,

so enjoy life while you can – you’ve not got long

Exile Limerick

Some minds get confined to the attic,

where they’re now allowed to be odd & erratic,

because here folk play the spoons,

& rub their face against balloons,

& still get surprised by the static.

A Derbyshire Lad

There was a lonely randy farmer way up in the Peaks,
who became a little bit too fond of his own flock of sheep,
I can't say what he did - it's too obscene
but he didn't half get through Vaseline,
how he loved his despicable acts of which I dare not speak
