this idyll piddle

~

this idyll piddle  (  v a g u e l y  p o e t i c a l  j i s m  )

this idyll piddle is a pillock in the riddle

it's the rasps of the spat

& the ripples of the spittle

this mortal dawdle is a bauble & a snorkel

it's the black of the cracks

& the chortles of the warbles

this itchy ditty is the drizzle of the drippy

it's the flaps of the bats

& the shitty of the iffy

this leper letter is a measure of the weather

it's a map of the scraps

& a petal - then a feather

mash ‘n’ salad

~

mash ‘n’ salad  (  s o me  p o e t i c a l  h m m m  )

sink a sum of subdivision

as the porpoise pods the pea

suck the thumb of supposition

when the monkeys climbs the tree

smash a clash of demolition

as the ibex rides the scree

split the wish of fishy fission

when the headland meets the sea

sniff a whiff of mint condition

as the fowl owl counts to three

spout the out of intuition

when the dock leaf stings your knee

shoo the shrew of superstition

as the bonnet bugs the bee

spot the dots of repetition

when the finders seek their fee

smite the shite of television

as the brown fox leaps the flea

sail the gales of intermission

when the west wind swipes the key

loop the hoop with sweet nutrition

as the others rouse in me

map the flaps of fuckin' missions

mash 'n' salad for our tea

backendish

~

backendish  (  a  p o e m  )

the wind's a prat - it's nicked my hat

as icecaps kiss my chin

the hills have chilled as ink is spilled

& oh, the needles pin

the head's a hedge- the queen is toast

& so the signets sing

of blackened swans & avalon

as daylight fights this grim

the green dies here yet stalls the blear

as weasels wink & grin

i think of spring & lambs with wings

then long-lost evil twins

the swifts have fled - they've hit the south

& now the spiders spin

their silken traps - the end is back

so let that grim begin

author notes

this one is definitely work-in-progress for me

the flow's a bit off in places & some lines aint right
