on the weigh in

on the weigh in  (  ni hgiew eht no  )

an ounce of nimbus clouds

in a silver shekel sky

an anchor on my back

& a pound in my pocket

a heave in the ho

as the eve is leaden legged

like a load of pygmy mammoths

so the leas bow down

as the moon flutters up

there's a hare in the air

& a newton of newts

in a sack brown bog

ushering us pilgrims

to the stone of swirling circles

a feather on the breeze

& a metric ton of hedgehogs
