lost in a haze of berets
& deerstalker blear

here within this maze
beavers sitting on my head
once upon a bonce

when the top is up
fedora meditations
flow like a trilby

in a flat cap sea
feathers in the sun above
dunce dee over me

focused on boaters
thoughts about a mortar board
or a ducal crown

musing on mitres
reflecting upon a fez
( don’t burst my bobble )
