~


the sky at dawn

was a tikka massala


with clustered puffs

of taj mahal


~


& morning saw

with tiger eyes


october is close

but no sitar


~


the sun at five

was vindaloo hot


we plod the leas

with elephant feet


~


the evening breeze

is a cucumber raita


we sip sweet chai

as crickets sing


...
