indian summer poem

indian summer poem  ( meop remmus naidni  )

the sky at dawn

was a tikka massala

with clustered puffs

of taj mahal

& morning saw

with tiger eyes

october is close

but no sitar

the sun at five

was vindaloo hot

we plod the leas

with elephant feet

the evening breeze

is a cucumber raita

we sip sweet chai

as crickets sing
