in fir forests of frost otters

as frog-florists cough in coffers

& green beavers sneeze on loggers

as the vicars sniff on glue


in red temples of lead pencils

as black adders fast for lentils

& grey ravens bass the trebles

as the saxons tax a pew


or squawk orchards of auk orphans

as incisors grind on organs

& jawed georgians war with gorgons

i shall sycamore - for yew
