what the fog … ?

~

what the fog … ? ( a foggy poem-read )

…

the views have vanished

here today

here has no distance

just this grey

i saw the flying

dutchman sail

in silhouette form

 down yon vale

along yon river

with this chill

surrounded by a

lack of hills

oh has my mind as

focus gone?

oh what the fog is

going on?

...

an apple …

~

an apple … ( a short poemz of )

…

an apple a day

keeps the doctor away

a painting a day

helps the artist portray

a beret a day

keeps our chic heads français

jarlsberg everyday

keeps our cheeses norway

a tutu a day

keeps our dances ballet

garlic everyday

keeps those vampires at bay

a game everyday

means the sought hideaway

( but )

a poem a day

keeps this odd-shit in-play

( sorry )

that vital spot

~

that vital spot ( a poem for dayboxing )

…

i'd like to scribe you a poem

but lacked that vital spot

to sit & think & spill some ink

as by the fire was far too hot

i'd love to scribe you a poem

as words are all i've got

the mortuary was death-dead cold

then at my desk sat goldilocks

i need to scribe you a poem

like pineapples need chunks

so down the garden one did plod

but there the faeries got us drunk

i have not scribed you a poem

all efforts sadly sunk

beneath those seas of circumstance

so fuck it - here's the usual junk

button-issues

~

button-issues ( a brief poetical )

…

we're pushing buttons

all day long

we're switching buttons

off & on

like bellys or lights

watch them glow

ooh - shining like a

button nose

the buttons in our

buttoned head

they say don't panic

nah, instead

keep pushing buttons

button up

the right one's hiding

button luck

...

snowmen in mali?

~

snowmen in mali? ( a brief pondering )

 . dot .

winter is with us

but where is that snow?

absent is the white stuff

does anyone know?

has snow been stolen

pinch-flinched from its clouds?

is snow invisible

yet still on the ground?

maybe snow's hiding

or fancied a change?

i.e off to dubai

blizzards on bahrain?

snowmen in mali?

a self-styled exile?

it's in the teens outside

probably too mild

say it with flowers

~

say it with flowers ( 27.4 second of the poetryz-read )

…

talking can do so much

believe in those powers

but speech has its limits

( then )

say it with flowers

their petals - a language

their colours are words

their aromas sweeten

soothing as the 'erb

like ' thanks for the onions '

' what time's the next train? '

'why aren't your palms hairy?

you must be insane '

or ' darlings i loves you '

or ' darlings you've gone '

' enjoy the hay fever '

' f*ck off

& do one '
