menuday

menuday by 16 lines of bellend united f.c ( for the cups, all of ’em )

with morning as our starter

we shall hereby eat today

taste fresh rush hour fogged-soup

as glum people make their way

to circuses & foundries

as a lone thrush busts a tune

& then for our main we'll

have a sunny afternoon

with all of its rich trimmings

go on - why not? let's indulge

brief showers then rainbows

nice 1 - feel our tummys bulge

& lastly for our pudding

we'll have something of night's time

darker than all chocolates

oh & you can choose the wines

a night storm

~

a night storm by michael’s fishy

it came from the south

it came from the west

it first twatted cornwall

then devon was next

it spread like herpes

in a monastery

it battered them hatches

it shat on them trees

which bothered them owls

as it was then night

all them phantoms cowered

in fear of its shite

things cleared by daylight

still of wind or rain

just blue skies 'n' sunshine

please come back again

( x )

yeah words are free

or so they say

but in bookshops

we have to pay

with real money

to own those words

& so we steal

which seems absurd

yet then in court

when things turn grim

they'll throw the book

to rub it in

at misled us

or so to speak

so words aint free

& talk aint cheap
